Anytime you can end your high school season with a perfect record, you're bound to turn some heads.
One area athlete accomplished that feat this season and has earned a spot with one of the nation's top programs as a result.

Spearfish's Tyler Waterson finished his senior season on the high school wrestling mat with a perfect 47-and-oh record and closed out his career as a three-time state champion.
Waterson will now take his talents to the Big Ten, signing a national letter of intent with the University of Minnesota. An opportunity the young talent couldn't pass up.

'I want to be a D-1 national champ. That's anyone's goal. Those goals don't just happen by sitting around, so, working as hard as I can right now, getting bigger, and preparing myself as much (as I can).'>
Waterson is undecided on a major, but plans to pursue a career as an Athletic Director.
