Sunday's Slap Shot: Feb. 25, 2018

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - The Rapid City Rush wrapped up their three game homestead against the Idaho Steelheads Saturday night, falling to Idaho 0-3.

The Rush powered to a 4 to 2 win on Friday...but struggled mightily Saturday, amassing a mere 21 shots against Idaho's netminder Desrosiers. In the third period, the Rush only had four shots on goal.

Rush's goaltender Christian Frey made 36 saves on 38 shots.

First period
1.) Peter Siavk cross iced to Elmes, over the blue line draw back to Siavk...Andrew Miller tries to come in with the score but Desrosiers. gets the save.

Second Period, Idaho up 1 nothing
2.) Jefferson Dahl with a nice interception...Dahl rips a shot looks like it wasn't go in to go in but it did make it pass Christien Frey.

3.) Max French rips a shot...Cole Ully tries to follow up but Frey with an acrobatic move was able to make the save.
The Rush is back on the road for their Tuesday game against the Kansas City Mavericks. The last time these two teams met the series was split 1-1.
