The Rapid City Rush didn't get the start it wanted this season, losing the first two games to Allen last week.
This weekend, the Rush took the road for the first time this season, looking for a little redemption.
We'll break down the week that was in this week's Sunday Slapshot.
The Rapid City Rush went down to Wichita, Kansas to play the Thunder - new to the Mountain Division this year... Here's a look at Saturday's game. Wichita got on the board first with two goals in the first period. In the 2nd period, Darik Angeli netted a goal for the Rush to cut Wichita's lead to 1. But the Thunder would score one more before the game was over.
The Wichita Thunder got the 3-1 win on Saturday night.
The Rush took the ice against the Thunder again today. Wichita came out hot with 5 goals in the first 11-and-a-half minutes of the contest. The Rush netted 2, but that wasn't enough as Wichita got the 5-2 win to sweep the weekend set.
