Sturgis beats Custer, 77-42

The Sturgis Scoopers have been making some noise in boys basketball action. They haven't quite reached the top-5 in the State power rankings yet, but their 3-0 record last week got them some votes. Saturday, Sturgis faced Custer looking to keep that perfect record intact.

In the 3rd quarter, things are looking good for the Scoopers, leading 37-25. Ryan Garland looks to add to that as he dribbles to the baseline and sinks the jumper.

More from Sturgis, The 6-foot-5 junior, Connor Crane drives in for the layup and 1, making this a 3-point play, 44-25 Scoopers.

Crane again as he gets the ball outside the arch, and the big man can shoot! He knocks down the 3, to put the scoopers up 20.

Custer here, Noah Zacher gets fed down low and fights his way to the basket for 2.

But, it was all Sturgis. Jace Fischer drives in and throws the skip pass over to Jacob Peotter on the wing for 3.
The Scoopers advance with a 4-and-0 record on the season, which might just be good enough to break the top-5. The final score, 77-42 Sturgis.
