Stevens girls head coach shares thoughts on win against SF Roosevelt

RAPID CITY , S.D. (KEVN) -
The Rapid City Central girls won it in a close one pulling off a 49 to 45 victory against Brookings. The lady cobblers will head to Sioux falls to take on the number one seed Aberdeen Central.

As for the Lady Raiders, they protected home court and got the win over Sioux Falls Roosevelt 46 to 23, Stevens will face number 6 seed Harrisburg at the state tournament.

"You know we kind of started off a little bit slow, having a week off but I think over the course of the time our defense was able to wear on the opponent and and we can be successful," said coach Brooks "When we share the ball and are not selfish, lots of good things happen offensive for us, it was a great step for us to take to reach to that point we are peaking as we approach state."

Stevens will face #6 Harrisburg in Sioux Falls Thursday, March 15.
