Spearfish eliminates Timberline to advance to the Championship

It's that time of year again, where Little Leaguers from around the area take the field in hopes of making it to the Little League World Series.

Saturday is elimination day in the sub-district tournament. In the 'B' bracket, Spearfish leading Timberline 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th inning. With two outs, and one on, Timberline's Jed Jensen knocks the homer over the fence in right field. Tevin Elliott crosses the plate at Jensen ties the game at 2.

Kaidon Feyereisen on the mound for Spearfish, and he strikes out James Furchaer looking to head to the top of the 6th tied at 2.

To the top of the 6th, Tevin Elliott dealing to Bridger Nehaus, he hits the chopper past Elliott, and makes it to first, scoring Brady Hartwig to put Spearfish in the 3-2 lead.

A little later, Spearfish leading 4-2 with two outs, as Ty Sieber sends the pitch back up the middle, Timberline misses the ball as it goes to the outfield. Nehaus slides in to score. Spearfish advances with the win, 9-5 the final score.
