Literally, the end of the first period, Idaho's Anthony Luciani with a late check on Dysin Mayo, who takes exception. Hyjinks ensue. Off to the right, Ryan Walters mixes it up with Jefferson Dahl. Rob Linsmayer sticks his nose in where it doesn't belong and Terrence Wallin is having none of it. 88 minutes in penalty minutes handed out by refs to start the 2nd period.

The Rush draw first blood in the second period, follow the bouncing puck. Brett Perlini fires and the puck bounces off two Steelheads. and just like that the Rush take the early lead.

Fast forward to the third period, Rush down by one. Dysin Mayo lets it rip and Ryan Walters with the beautiful redirect and we're tied at two.

Later, Justin Hache lets it rip, Terrence Wallin on the doorstep gets the redirect to tie us at three.

40 seconds later, Michael Young dances into the zone and fires on Branden Komm and it trickles past the goaltender and in.
And the Rush would skate off with the huge win, 7-4 the final score.

Idaho fought back for the 3-nothing shutout on Friday to force the rubber match on New Year's Eve. The Rush scored early, but Idaho came back to send it to overtime where the Steelheads got the win, 4-3.
