Rapid City Rush falls to Colorado in preseason game

And the Rapid City Rush returned to home ice for its home-opener this evening, duking it out with the Colorado Eagles... literally.
---
About 45 seconds into the contest, Colorado's Jesse Mychan comes in with the hard hit on Riley Weslowski, and Rapid City's John Rey drops his gloves.
---
Colorado capitalized on the power play... Ben Storm passes over to Michael Joly, who nets the goal 58 seconds into the 1st period. The Eagles go up early, 1-nothing.
---
But, a couple minutes later, and the Rush even the score with a shot from rookie, Marcus Ortiz. This is a packed 1st period, with 2 goals in the first 3 minutes.
---
And you know, it's been awhile, so it's time for another fight. Rapid City's Ryan Tesink gets called for boarding, and Kenton Miller and Joey Ratelle get slapped with 5 minutes for fighting.
---
The Rush defense trying not to let the Eagles score on another power play, and Rapid City's Christian Frey plays a big part in that with this save, and then the Rush clear the puck.
---
But, Colorado would score again before the period ends. This one set up the same as the first, Jesse Mychan passes over to Matt Garbowsky who nets the goal to put the Eagles ahead.
Colorado would get the win, 5-3 the final score.
