Raiders state championship football team celebrates 30 years

The last time a Rapid City team won a state football title was in 1987, when Rapid City Stevens beat Sioux Falls Washington with a field goal late in the 4th quarter.
This weekend, the championship team came back to Rapid City to celebrate its 30-year reunion.

The '87 team celebrated throughout the weekend with a talegate at the Stevens-Brandon Valley game, and a golf tournament at Meadowbrook.
The former Raider coach, Mick Wysuph also met with this year's Stevens football team after a practice. And, for him, this weekend has been unforgettable.

Mick says, 'You know, it's been a blast. This is going to be really a lot of fun. We have over 30 guys coming back all the way from New York and California, Texas or whatever. And, the older you get the better the stories get, the bigger the tales are, so it's really a lot of fun to have everybody back.'

The Stevens Raiders are 3-and-3 so far this season, and are set to take on Sioux Falls Lincoln Friday at 7.
