RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - For the first time ever, the Class AA Stevens' Lady Raiders took on Class A St. Thomas More.

Both Teams are having a phenomenal season, with Stevens holding a 15-3 record while ST. Thomas More is 17-2. Inclement weather caused both teams to lose a game on their schedule, which prompted Sunday's match up.

It was a packed house and the atmosphere was intense, especially from St. Thomas More's Student section.

Second period action

1.) Steven's Elizabeth Schaefer gets a nice steal, heading all the way to the basket, couldn't finish but no worries Laura Petik had her back and was able to come up with the score.

2.) Here is Eagle-Chasing, she was hot in the 2nd period... here she crosses up Alex Kandolin and makes it to the basket for the score.

3.) Now Remember I said Eagle chasing was hot...and she didn't cool off she actually started making it rain...raining three pointers... that was her third for the second period.

4.) Kayla Jacobson to Ashlynn Duffy , she drives in the paint and gets the lady cavs' score.

5.) Now this one remained a close one for majority of the first half. Kandolin goes over the head of Petik to find Haylee Timmer who gets the two points...

Stevens protects home court and defeats St. Thomas More 51 to 39.
