High school golfers teed up at the Black Hills Invitational

And the march toward the State Golf Meet continues.
Monday, area golfers made their way to the Golf Course for the Black Hills Invitational.

We go out to the Hart Ranch for the day's action.
Joining the number 1 girls on the 18th hole, par 5. Newell's Adrianna Wheeldryer with the short shot from the fairway. She lands it on the green.
Now, with the long putt for par, and she leaves it a little short. She'd two-putt for bogey, and finish second on the day with a score of 87.

Here we have Hill City's Sammy Woodward on hole 18. She chips it up to the green. She leaves her par putt short too, and taps it in for the easy bogey. She'd take home 4th on the day with a 98. Philip's Josie Rush finished first with an 84.

On the boys' side, coming up on the 9th hole, par 5.
Lemmon's Brayden Peterson on his 3rd shot. He hits it over the creek and on the green. He'd end up two-putting for bogey and finish 2nd on the day with a score of 87.

Here we have White River's Justice Morrison with the tough chip that lands and rolls toward the pin. He'd miss the birdie putt, and tap it in for par. Morrison would go on to finish first place on the day with a score of 81.
