BH hosts RMAC Track and Field Championships

We go out to Spearfish for the RMAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

In the 3rd heat of the men's mile, Austin Anaya finishes first in 4-minutes and 12.65 seconds.

In the 2nd heat of the women's mile, Black Hills State's Christine Thorn with the lead, but she'd get passed in the last lap to finish 2nd. Western State's Alicja Konieczek finished 1st on the day with a 4 minute and 50 second mile.

Moving on to the men's 60 meter dash finals... these eight men are only separated by one-tenth of a second... it was close, but Micah Ballantyne from Adams State wins it finishing in 6.84 seconds. Hardrockers' Joshua Thomas took home 4th.

In the women's 60 meter dash... Adams State took home first, as sophomore Dianna Johnson ran a time of 7.40 seconds.

In the 3rd heat of the men's 800 meter run, it was close at the finish line, but CSU-Pueblo's Devundrick Walker took home first, and Black Hills State sophomore, Levi Fried finished 3rd in 1 minute and 54.58 seconds.

In the 2nd heat of the women's 800 meter run, Cailey Roth took 2nd for BH, and Erica Westerman finished in 3rd. Western State's Alicja Konieczek took home 1st overall in 2 minutes and 11.83 seconds.

Moving on to the men's 60 meter hurdles.. Adams State's Kyree Gerstle-Goodman finishes 1st in the race...

And in the women's 60 meter hurdles, Rapid City Central alum, Tessa Gorsuch, running for Chadron State, and she finishes first in 8.5 seconds.
