Sunday's Slaps Shot: Rush sweeps Utah Grizzlies and Rushmore Thunder sweeps the Tornadoes

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - The Rapid City Rush were in action earlier today against divisional opponent the Utah Grizzlies.

This Game was the conclusion of Friday's Game that was suspended due to ice conditions. Utah was leading in this game Friday 3 to 1, but the Rapid City Rush came out blazing for Sunday's match up.

The Rush defeated the Grizzlies 7- 5. Watch the video above for play-by.

Up next for coach Tetrault and his men, the team will travel to Colorado to face the conference leading eagles. This is a three fame series and will kick off Wednesday night at Budweiser Center. Puck drop is set at 7:05 MDT.

As for the Rushmore Thunder, the varsity boys is able to complete the sweep against the Sioux Center Tornadoes.

In this case the Thunder was stronger than the Tornado.

The tornadoes could not whether the thunder falling to the varsity boys 9- 3 in Sunday's match up. The Boys are now number three in the league and will be back on the ice this upcoming Saturday at home against Aberdeen.
