WATERTOWN, S.D. (KEVN TV) - A joint proposal to create registered nursing programs at Lake Area Technical Institute, Mitchell Technical Institute and Western Dakota Technical Institute has been approved by the State Board of Technical Education.
The two-year programs are designed to help students completing the Licensed Practical Nurse program to obtain an RN degree and to help fill workforce needs in the healthcare industry.

The State Board of Technical Education oversees the four technical institutes in Watertown, Sioux Falls, Mitchell and Rapid City.
