Expect a sunny start to the day, with some high clouds building in during the afternoon hours. High temperatures throughout the area will climb into the mid 30s. Strong winds did cause snow to blow over plowed roads, creating slick areas on Monday. Winds will not be an issue for Tuesday in western South Dakota, but over in Wyoming, winds will be a bit stronger.
The week ahead is shaping up to be a quiet one, with dry conditions at least through the end of the week. Models are hinting at yet another blast of cold air moving in by New Year's Eve. That same lobe of bitterly cold may dip further south, and bring very cold temperatures early next week.
