The force is strong with the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology for their annual Holiday Parade of Trees.

'Star Wars' is this year's theme, where you will find 20 decorated trees by student organizations and staff.
The public is welcome to walk through and look at the trees in the Surbeck Center at the School of Mines and vote for their favorite to win the "People's Choice Award."
The Annual Holiday Parade of Trees is an event that students and staff look forward to every year.

Student Activities & Leadership Center Program Assistant, Cheryl Dillon, says, "It gives the students a break. This is a busy time of year, they're getting ready for finals, all the projects and everything that's due this time of year and they need something to relax."

If you would like to vote for your favorite tree, you need to bring canned food donations as the price of admission which will then benefit the campus student food pantry, which is low on supplies.
You can vote through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
