Expect temperatures to climb at or even slightly above 30° in Rapid City and to the south. To the north, highs will stay in the 20s, with teens likely in far northwest South Dakota. Winds will also be lighter compared with the breezy conditions on Saturday.
The forecast is difficult next week, as a sharp boundary between warm and cold air will set up near us. A warm-up looks likely for Sunday, and Monday looks nice, too. Temps will generally range from teens in central South Dakota to 30s and 40s in central Wyoming.
Each wiggle of the jet stream will bring a chance of some spotty light snow, too. The big system forecast for Tuesday will likely miss us to the east. That's okay, we're doing fine for snowfall this season so far.
