Rapid City, SD Construction on Main Street in Sturgis has moved into its final block.
Monday, crews began work between Third and Fourth Streets and the intersection of Third and Main Street is now closed for construction.
Detour routes are in place to get traffic around the area.
The more than $3 million dollar project will give downtown a face-lift - including better lighting, sidewalks, and replacing old water lines.
The city also plans to add landscaping and artwork throughout the famed Main Street.
The project is expected to be complete in June next year.
