Rapid City, SD Wednesday is day seven for the Black Hills Stock Show and organizers say attendance has been great.
Some of the biggest events of the Stock Show are still to come, but organizers say attendance is already up from last year.
Attendees had to battle against the elements to attend last year, as snow and ice kept many from making the journey or staying as long.
The indicators for attendance include ticket and livestock sales, as well as vendor profits.
Ron Jeffreies, Black Hills Stock Show general manager says, "Traffic has been up for almost everything we have done this year at the stock show so it has been very exciting in that respect averages on the bulls are up horse sale was a really good horse sale we broke a million dollars again so not only are the people coming but the buying patterns are back on track with a real good year."
Some of the upcoming events include the Aaron Watson concert, the Boots and Beer festival, and the buffalo sale.
