It wasn't an easy commute to work this morning in the Northern Hills with poor road conditions along the interstate from Spearfish to Sturgis.
Strong winds blowing snow caused that low visibility on I-90 for drivers... slowing traffic down with some cars using caution on slippery roads.
But the winter conditions may have caused a headache for some drivers... the South Dakota Highway Patrol told us conditions caused numerous slide-offs, some non-injury crashes, and a semi-truck was jackknifed in the area of mile marker 10 near Spearfish.
SDHP Public Information Officer Tony Mangan wants to remind drivers in bad weather conditions like this, drive safe and slow. Wear your seatbelt, and don't use cruise control.
