Rapid City, SD Santa had a little help from the Rapid City Woodworkers Association Tuesday at Youth and Family Services.

Over 2,000 handmade wooden toys were given to the Head Start students Tuesday.

The Rapid City Woodworkers Association worked all year to create one of a kind presents for the kids.

Students from Y-F-S have been going home with the wooden toys for 9 years and the woodworkers say seeing their smiles light up their holidays.

Grant Coffin, Rapid City Woodworkers Association says, "Did you ever have a 4 year old come up and grab your leg and say thank you Santa Claus that's the sweetest thing ever happened to me last year right here in this room it just picked up your time come over and thank you Santa Claus makes your heart thump."

The woodworkers have over 30 members working to get this project complete every year.
