On Tuesday a Rapid City man pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree robbery in Seventh Circuit Court.

31-year-old Robert Donovan pleaded guilty to robbing Don's Valley Express on Haines Avenue and the Fresh Start convenience store in the summer of 2016.

Donovan says he was armed with a simulated weapon and stole money from both places.

Donovan faces up to 50 years in prison and/or a $100,000 fine.

He was originally going to have a jury trial but decided to plead guilty instead.

He's set to be sentenced on March 27th.
