Push for bipartisan school safety bill on Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- Washington Correspondent Alana Austin interviews Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY) about a bill he's cosponsoring with a bipartisan group of Congressmen to enhance school safety.

Tuesday afternoon, he joined fellow Congressmen at a press conference to advocate for legislation that would enhance training, violence prevention programs and coordination between schools and their local law enforcement.

The bill has a renewed push on Capitol Hill following the recent shooting in Florida that left 17 dead at a high school.

Rogers says he's willing to take action to address safety concerns, but he short of saying he would consider any gun control measures.
