For some people nothing starts the day better than a good cup of joe.
That makes today a day for coffee lovers everywhere.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
It's what Dixon Coffee does everyday. With Friday being National Coffee Day, it's no different.
More than 50 percent of Americans over 18 drink coffee everyday - that's more than 150 million daily drinkers.
So at this coffee stop, aiming to make their customers smile with a cup of their finest, organic beans is their goal.
Lead Barista, Sarah Glanzer says, "People come all over to try a homemade almond milk latter or our Dixon chai."
Heather Janssen says, "For some people getting that daily dose of caffeine is a necessity and an everyday occurence. When people need it, they want it to be convenient."
Glanzer says, "We can see you on your way to work on your way to class, whichever you need. It's super easy and in that aspect, people can just drive up, grab their coffee, and go."
Those are some of the perks of locally-owned Dixon - being able to grab 'express' espresso whether it's your morning java or your afternoon pick me up.
The average drive-thru coffee business sells about 200 to 300 cups of espresso and coffee-based drinks daily.
And Dixon is still working to stand out among the rest, adding a new hazelnut milk to their menu next month.
