Maricelo Garcia pleads not guilty to 1st degree murder

Rapid City 21-year-old Maricelo Garcia appeared before Judge Jane Wipf-Pfeifle in 7th Circuit Court Thursday.

Garcia pleaded not guilty to the charge of 1st degree murder Thursday afternoon.

Garcia and 19-year-old Cierra Walks were allegedly involved in the murder of Clinton Farlee in the 600 block of East North Boulevard on October 4th.

Walks was charged with accessory to a crime and faces up to 5 years in prison.

If found guilty, Garcia would face a mandatory life sentence, a 50-thousand dollar fine and, the possibility of the death sentence.

He is scheduled for a non-evidentiary motions hearing on November 30th.
