Not guilty, that's the plea from a man facing a slew of charges after allegedly shooting at a home in Chapel Valley in October.
Dayne Sturlaugson was arraigned on multiple counts of aggravated assault, including one count involving a minor. The 30-year-old also faces a number of drug and alcohol charges, as well as one count of shooting at an occupied structure.
Sturlaugson pleaded not guilty to all accusations on Tuesday.
The charges stem from an incident back in October, when shots were fired at a home on Rapid City's west side. Four people were inside the home at the time.
In Judge Heidi Linngren's courtroom on Tuesday, the state of South Dakota came forward with additional information, alleging Sturlaugson has previous felony charges. He denied this information.
If convicted of all of these charges, he could face upwards of 140 years maximum behind bars.
He's due back in court on December 12th.
