Man killed in car crash near Custer

CUSTER, S.D. (KEVN TV) - The 27-year-old driver of a car was killed Thursday morning when he lost control on U.S. Highway 16, about seven miles west of Custer.

The crash happened about 7:12 a.m. when the driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a ditch.

One of three other people in the car, a 20-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries. The other two passengers – a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman – have serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety did not release names or where the crash victims are from.
