Rapid City, SD The Leadership Rapid City Class of 2015 is hoping to make Storybook Island even more enchanting.

Saturday evening, the class held a fundraiser as a final push to raise the money they need to create the Story Book Symphony.

The group plans to add musical instruments to the park to promote creativity and encourage kids to get to know musical instruments.

The event tonight included lots of musical entertainment and a raffle and the class president says they came up with this project because it is close to their hearts.

Jason Sanderson, Leadership Rapid City class of 2015 president says, " The Leadership Rapid City class of 2015 has a lot of great memories ourselves as kids at Storybook Island and so it was important for us to give back to them. They do such amazing things for our community and for the kids in our community especially."

So far the class has raised over $25,000 of their $30,000 goal and they hope to have the area installed by this summer.
