Group rallies for the immediate filling of V-A Vacancies nationwide

The American Federation of Governement Employees, along with the concerned citizens taking part in the rally, all agreed that with more than 49,000 vacancies throughout the country, they feel like veterans are being deprived of the health care treatment that they deserve.

April Lasnetske, veteran, says "More jobs for the V-A because we are so short staffed, we need more people working at the V-A, so that we can provide better care for my brothers and sisters in arms since I am a veteran. We need to get the funding from Congress to open up we can have the staff that we need available."

The group says they will continue to raise awareness of the low staffing levels and do whatever they can to help fill the vacancies.
