'Tis the season of giving, and one Sturgis church continued the spirit of giving with a free Christmas dinner.
People were enjoying a Christmas dinner thanks to volunteers from the Grace Lutheran Church.
It took volunteers two days to prep the meal... making turkey, ham, stuffing, and plenty of dessert.
One event coordinator says it feels great to provide some food for people that may not have somewhere to go for Christmas.
Christmas Meal Coordinator Lynette Kvanvig says, "Right, well that's why we continue to do it because we've heard such positive feedback that it's so appreciated and they like the fellowship that they can come and it's just a nice way to spend their Christmas day."
For those that couldn't attend the meal, Pastor Chris and her son packed up nearly 30 meals and delivered them to members in the community.
She says people are so appreciative whenever they drop off a meal.
