Rapid City, SD Drivers may see gas prices increasing at the pump. The cost per gallon has jumped about 2.4 cents in the past week.
Reports show the average cost of gas is $2.32 in South Dakota, but that compares to an average of $2.39 across the country.
Experts say the increase is seasonal, however the situation in Syria is adding the risk of tension between some of the world's largest oil producers, which could contribute to higher prices.
Costs across South Dakota are about 30 cents higher per gallon than this time last year.
