Three grocery stores in Rapid City will be closing later this year, that's according to a release from the SpartanNash company.
Prairie Market on New York Street, Family Thrift Center on Omaha, and the Family Thrift Express on Sturgis Road will all close their doors in October.
SpartanNash says the decision was made as part of a company wide evaluation of the best use of resources to make sure stores are meeting the needs of the local customers and community.
As part of their plan SpartanNash will be remodeling their two remaining Rapid City stores, the Family Thrift Center and Express on East St. Patrick Street and the Family Thrift Center on Mountain View.
Associates at the closing stores will have the opportunity to work at one of the two remodeled stores.
