Crash claims the life of a Sheridan man

CASPER, Wyo. (KEVN) - A Sheridan, Wyo., man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 near Casper.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 35-year-old John Gallatin was killed when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer, lost control and rolled his SUV several times. Troopers say Gallatin was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected during the rollover.

The passenger, 33-year-old Amanda Gallatin of Sheridan, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She also reportedly was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the SUV.
