One business owner went on a mission to bring elements of fun to the Black Hills and she has grown ever since.
Kallie Quicke began her business venture with the human gyroscope in 2016 bringing it to different fairs and festivals, opened up a kiosk with different novelty items and then Animal Land back in December. Now she's merged everything together introducing her new nerf dart arena and a multi-sport simulator at what is called Black Hills Battle Zone.
Kallie Quicke, owner of Fun Fam LLC., says "I believe having fun is a prioirity and I wanted to bring an area where families, kids, teenagers, adults, all that can gather in one place and have fun altogether, so we're just trying to get people out and about to experience everything that that the Black Hills has to offer and we would like to contribute to all that as well as the tourist coming in."
Black Hills Battle Zone also has different party packages and group rates available. The arena is open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for open play. The rest of the days during the week is time set aside for private parties. Quickey says she is confident her new venture will bring people of all ages together and has no doubt they'll have a blast.
Quicke continues, "Myself, I have troubles when I want to go out and have fun, find out what to do, so I just wanted to make a place where I can enjoy as well as many others."
