Bars fill up as fans cheer on football

We popped into Murphy's Pub and Grill downtown a little bit before the game as the anticipation kicked in. People were among friends and family filling their bellies as they got ready to root on their favorite team. The owner of Murphy's says it's interesting to see casual football fans get serious about this time in the season and that Murphy's is definitely a place to be.

"Tony DeMaro, owner of Murphy's, says "It's always such a fun time of the year. This is what everyone has been waiting for so this is when everyone starts to pay attention and so its a ton of fun to be down here, there's a ton of energy, lots of applause, we've got about 20 TVs to watch, we've got 50-cent wings and half-off domestic beers so it's a great place to bring the friends, bring the family and come on down."

Whether they were rooting for the Vikings, the Eagles, neither or both, sports fans flocked into Buffalo Wild Wings to check out the game also. Staff was occupied with the increase in business so we checked in with a few enthusiastic fans to see what they thought tonight's outcome might be.

One Eagle fan says, "The eagles are going to win tonight, they're already showing it. If you ask Robert, he might say different but it ain't going to happen.

A Vikings fan continues, "Hoping for a Minnesota Vikings win, since I've been alive on this earth, they have never made it to the Superbowl. I'm 32 years old and all I have to say is "GO MINNESNOTA LET'S DO THIS!"
