She's 89 years old and has hit the road delivering meals more than a thousand times and served more than 13,000 seniors in more than 20 years.
That's why Millie Laue has been named the May 2017 Volunteer of the Month for her time spent at the Meals on Wheels Program.
Millie, despite her age, continues to deliver a route each week.
But, she even goes above and beyond just delivering hot meals to seniors in need and has even taken a senior with no family to doctor appointments, hair appointments and even shopping when needed.
Millie says it's become a big part of her life and does it with her sister by her side.
Millie Laue says, "See, I did it alone for quite a few years and then, I don't know how she, she went with me one day and she's hooked now, but she does the driving, which, you know, I can still drive, but she does that, she enjoyed it too, I think."
The Volunteer of the Month program is sponsored by the Helpline Center and Black Hills Urgent Care.
Millie will now be one of 47 people honored during the 2017 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards Banquet in May.
