Duck Race

Sunday will mark the 27th year for the Great Black Hills Duck Race, all to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

The crew was hard at work today selling ducks, trying to reach their goal of selling all 17,000.
They cost $5 apiece and they've got $27,000 in prizes on the line this year.
And the million dollar duck is back. If your ducks wins and is one of the six drawn from the pot as well, you'll win the million bucks.

And they're back in Rapid Creek again this year, after having to hold the event at the School of Mines last year because of dangerously high water levels in the creek.
This event is one that organizers look forward to...

CMN program coordinator Alexa Stulken says, "We enjoy it immensely. It's a wonderful event. It's an absolute blast. The community loves it and all of the kids love it. It's a wonderful event to get out and enjoy the community."

You can buy ducks online up until noon Saturday at www.regionalhealth.com/cmn.
You can also buy them Sunday from 8:00am until 1:45pm at the West Main McDonald's.
And that's where they'll drop the ducks at 2:00.
