Wyoming lawmakers are starting work this week on a bill inspired by the Casey Anthony trial in Florida. A number of states are considering measures to make it a crime to not report a missing child.
Lawmakers plan to discuss the proposed ``Caylee's Law'' in Cheyenne this week. Last month, a Florida jury found Anthony not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. The jury did convict Casey Athony of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a law officer. Anthony did not report Caylee's disappearance for nearly a
month. Wyoming's proposal mirrors other states' bills to allow prosecutors to bring felony charges against parents who do not
quickly report missing children.
