RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) _ United Airlines will offer seasonal
flights between Rapid City and Houston this summer.
Rapid City airport officials say the nonstop round-trip daily
flights are to begin June 7 and continue through Aug 27. Houston
will become the eighth nonstop destination served by the Rapid City
airport.
United already offers Rapid City flights to Denver and Chicago
year-round. The seasonal Houston flights will be operated as United
Express by ExpressJet, using 50-seat planes. Rapid City Mayor Sam
Kooiker says he hopes the flights eventually will be
offered year-round.
