The Highway Patrol says the camper pulled by a pickup was traveling north on Highway 79 when it struck a maroon car that was trying to cross 79 and continue onto Highway 40.

Three of the four people in the car were killed. One was airlifted and is in critical condition. The driver and the occupant of the truck sustained minor injuries.

No word yet on if seat belts were worn by anyone in the car. The accident is still under investigation.
