Rapid City native Adam Vinatieri has some company among NFL kickers.

Shortly following this year's draft, the San Diego Chargers picked up former Spearfish Spartan and Rice Owl punter Kyle Martens.Martens averaged just over 43-and-a-half yards on a career-high 78 punts with the Owls. Martens was a standout athlete for the Spartans back in 2008. Martens was among a whopping 20 undrafted free agents signed by the Chargers over the weekend.
