Douglas School District election results PDF print email

Voters in the Douglas School District went to the polls to fill three slots on the school board there. Three people were running for two three-year terms on the board. Incumbents Jan Jungemann and Bryan Bauer earned those two spots,  defeating another incumbent Ed Klueber. And there was also a two-year term on the ballot with Bill Eldridge defeating Joseph Schnier  for that spot.

Cement truck hits interstate bridge PDF print email

It was an unusual scene Tuesday afternoon on I-90, when a cement truck crashed into an overpass.  South Dakota Highway Patrol troopers say the cement truck was eastbound near mile marker 71, when a back tire blew, causing the load to shift and the driver to lose control.
