The dry conditions we're seeing across the Black Hills continue to be a concern for local firefighters. Crews were called out to another small grass fire Friday afternoon off of Interstate 90.

Shortly before 3 p.m., firefighters were called to the scene of a half-acre grass fire near mile marker 73.

A pickup truck that was hauling a trailer was seen jack-knifed close to the blaze, but authorities on scene didn't confirm if that was the cause of the fire.

As a reminder, a burn ban is in effect throughout Rapid City. All outdoor burning is currently prohibited, which includes outdoor appliances such as chimineas, fire places, recreational fires and fire pits. The ban will be automatically suspended when the fire danger falls back below the very high category.
