Main Street Square business closes temporarily

An eatery at Main Street Square in Rapid City is getting set to try a different strategy this coming summer.   Dakota Soda closed its doors earlier this week and will transform itself this coming summer into a place serving salads, sandwiches and pizza.

The renovation will begin some time next month.  The restaurant, which is owned by two Rapid City doctors, who happen to also be husband and wife, should be open in its new guise sometime around July.   It will get a new name as well, which has not been disclosed so far.  Doctor Kevin Weiland and Doctor Laura Weisensee have owned the restaurant since 2011.
