Council hears concerns about Art Alley
Monday, 04 March 2013 15:54
The Rapid City Council was hearing Monday night from people concerned about recent activities they've seen or experienced in Art Alley.  A public forum was held at the Dahl Arts Center last week with artists and downtown business and property owners who want to put an end to vandalism, drunkenness and other alleged criminal activity in the downtown alleyway.

Dahl executive director Pepper Massey told the council tonight that the artists feel disrespected by the vandalism and their relationship with downtown businesses has deteriorated because of that vandalism.  Massey says the Dahl wants to plan a couple more meetings with those directly affected by the issues.  We'll have an update on the story Tuesday night on Black Hills FOX News.
