The Fifteenth Annual Northern Hills Ag Fest and Home Show took place at the Sturgis Community Center on Saturday.

Featured were organizations and businesses that cater to agriculture and the livestock industry. It also featured several cattle shows. Sturgis Chamber of Commerce officials say it's not on the same scale as the Black Hills Stock Show but its serves the same purpose.

Lisa Weir says, "We do it to bring agriculture into Sturgis. Of course, agriculture is a very important part of our community. And so it gives us a chance to let those producers come in and show off a little bit and let those city folks see what it's all about." The Northern Hills Ag Fest and Home Show included a chili cook off, and a sheepdog demonstration during the afternoon. There was also a presentation on oil and gas leasing in the Community Center Theatre.
