BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) _ Brookings police say a mailman was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Wednesday after he failed a sobriety test. Lt. Derrick Powers told the Brookings Register that the carrier's blood alcohol level was above the .08 legal limit. The 33-year-old man's name was not released. Police say they received a call from the local post office about 2 p.m. Wednesday advising that they suspected one of the carriers might be drinking. The man was out delivering his route on Ninth Street and was approached while walking near his truck. Police say that an open alcohol container was found in the mail truck. The carrier was taken to the Brookings County Detention Center. AP-WF-02-07-13 1900GMT<
