They estimate this year the average sports fan will have shelled out nearly $70 to get ready for and enjoy the game. In Rapid City at least one restaurant is also seeing a bump in business over last year. Buffalo Wild Wings says even before halftime they had shattered last year's sales record dishing out nearly 60,000 wings to both dine in and carryout customers. They say it takes an all hands on deck approach with staffing to make Super Bowl Sunday a success. Buffalo Wild Wings general manager Erin Banker says, "I think it just takes good planning. We know where our aces need to be and base it on last year. Based on where our sales variances are last year, we just know that we got to be stacked up at the front door, stacked in our carryout area and use all the help we can get." Banker says as of halftime the restaurant had already gone through 25 cases of wings. Brendyn Medina |
