RCPD responds to second car-vs-home accident in two days

The Rapid City Police Department says they've responded to their second car vs. building accident in two days. They say Saturday morning, 20-year-old Jamie Tom of Rapid City was driving south on North Maple Avenue when she ran over the curb, overcorrected, and crashed into a home. Police estimate the vehicle's speed to have been between 50 and 60 miles per hour. The RCPD says Tom and one passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One woman in the home at the time, was not injured. The P-D says Tom faces charges that include DUI, reckless driving, no driver's license, and open container in a motor vehicle.
