Noah Diamond, 15, built storage shelves to organize Red Cross disaster supplies in order to make it easier for staff and volunteers to respond quicker to emergencies. Diamond says this community service project took more than 280 hours of work, and it is the last requirement before he can become an Eagle Scout.

Diamond says, "This was basically the first major project that I could have that I didn't have any adult help with. This was all led by myself. I organized it with very little adult help. It just gave me leadership skills, showed me how to communicate with others and had to design work processes, get it all organized, and I thought that was the main purpose of this project."

Diamond says he feels very rewarded to have accomplished a project that will benefit the entire community. Diamond will get his Eagle Scout pin in March.
